Huron Dunes Subdivision is a coastal Michigan cottage community located in the Michigan Thumb area on the Lake Huron shoreline and is just 8 miles West of Port Austin, off Port Austin Road/M-25. The community is abutted up to the Huron Sand Dunes on the east end, with an easy walk to neighboring Port Crescent State Day Park and the park’s three miles of sandy shoreline, hiking trails, and Dark Sky Preserve.

Homeowners can enjoy spectacular scenic views of glorious sunrises and sunsets, exclusive private beach access and lots of watercraft activities.  The Lake Huron shoreline boasts forests, wetlands, lighthouses, parks, trails, museums, small towns, culture, attractions, golf, dining, and many other hidden treasures accessible within miles from this community.

The mission is to foster a neighborhood of friendship and true community spirit for the enjoyment of the unique beauty of our surroundings.

The community is maintained through effective organization, careful future planning, fiscal responsibility, and particularly, by the enthusiastic participation of all property owners in the beautification and maintenance process. The Board of Trustees continue to strive to maintain a decorum of professionalism and pride throughout the management process.

A little history....

Huron Dunes was established on August 15, 1958 as a non-profit corporation.  In 1960, the Port Crescent Land Company conveyed by deed all of the streets, lanes and park land to the Association. The Association’s by-laws were adopted in 1983. Click below for more detail.
