Association Meetings
An Annual Meeting of Huron Dunes Association is held once each year, between May15 and September 8. To accommodate the need for members to meet with their Board of Trustees, the Annual Association Meeting occurs on the Sunday of Memorial Day weekend and/or the Sunday of Labor Day weekend, as circumstances require. The President of the Association may call special meetings of members when in his/her judgement the welfare of the Association requires it and in accordance with Article V of the Huron Dunes Association By-Laws. Such meetings shall be held at a time and manner as directed by the Board of Trustees.
Association meetings are open to all homeowners. and provide an convenient venue for questions and concerns about the actions/activities taken by the Board. Notice of Association meetings are communicated to the membership at least four (4) weeks in advance. Every member need to understand important subdivision issues and the decisions being made.
Meetings of the membership shall be presided over by the President. The Secretary shall act as Secretary of the meeting.

Board Meetings
Meetings of the Board of Trustees may be called by the President or the Vice President in the absence of the President, upon the request of three or more members of the Board, or by the Secretary/Treasurer upon the request of three or more members of the Board. A majority of the Trustees shall constitute a quorum for the transaction of any business conducted at these meetings. Notice of every Board meeting shall be mailed by the Secretary/Treasurer, or given personally by him/her, at least one week prior to the meeting to all the trustees, following Article II, Section III of the By-Laws.

Elections/Voting
Trustees each serve a three (3) year term. Each year, two (2) Trustee positions come up for election. The annual Election is held each year at the annual Association meeting. Members in good standing are invited to run for election to the Board of Trustees. To run, the member must be incumbent or a nominee. Nominees must be approved by the membership to become a candidate. Write-in candidates are also allowed.
There are times when a Trustee cannot complete his/her term. When this occurs the Board appoints a member to the vacant seat to serve until the next Association meeting and annual election.
Voting Process:
Each homeowner will receive a ballot to vote on candidates running for election to the Board of Trustees. One ballot per lot may be cast at the Annual Meeting. There shall be, however, not more than one (1) vote per homesite/real property.
